## What's coming to Azure

A serverless data warehouse built on DuckDB, running next to the data you already keep in Azure.

- 01 ### DuckDB, in your cloud We're building it to match MotherDuck on AWS, with the same DuckDB SQL, in an Azure region instead of an AWS one.
- 02 ### Every person and agent, its own compute Each person, agent, and customer gets its own Duckling on the same data. A heavy agent can't slow anyone's dashboard.
- 03 ### Idle compute costs nothing Ducklings shut down when nobody is querying, so you pay for compute only while it runs.
- 04 ### Works with your Microsoft stack Sign in with Entra ID. Power BI and Copilot connect today. Keep Fabric, Synapse, or Databricks, and MotherDuck serves the interactive layer beside them.

## Where should we land first?

The region you pick helps decide where we launch first. Regions open in order of demand, and early access within each region goes out in waitlist order.

```
SELECT count(*) AS regions FROM azure_regions;
```

## What happens after you hit Execute

1. 01You are here ### You're on the list We hold your spot and email you when your region opens.
1. 02 ### Your region opens Regions open in order of demand. Within each region, early access goes out in waitlist order.
1. 03 ### Query from your region Sign in, pick your Azure region, and point your first query at your data in Azure.

## Before you run it

## FAQS

### Is MotherDuck available on Azure today?
Not yet. The waitlist is open now. Until then, MotherDuck on AWS can already query Parquet and CSV files in Azure Blob Storage. Azure bills you for egress on those queries.

### When will it be available?
Soon. We'll email you as soon as your region opens.

### How do you decide which regions open first?
The region in your query helps decide. Regions open in order of demand, and early access within each region goes out in waitlist order.

### Does joining commit me to anything?
No. Joining saves your spot. There's nothing to pay and nothing to cancel.

### I can't write SQL. Can I still join?
Yes. Type over the values in quotes and hit Execute, or switch to the boring form under the editor. Both send exactly the same thing.

### What do you do with my details?
We use them to email you about Azure access. Check the box if you also want MotherDuck product news. See our [privacy policy](/privacy-policy/) for the details.
