What is a Dive?

Dives are interactive visualizations you create with natural language, directly on top of your data in MotherDuck. They query live data using MotherDuck’s dual execution feature for snappy data experiences and easy sharing. Check out the Dive Gallery to see examples from the community.

How do I create a Dive?

Ask a question to your AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) through the MotherDuck MCP Server. Your agent queries the database and assembles a live, interactive Dive you can save to your workspace.

How do Dives work with the MotherDuck MCP Server?

Dives are just one of the MCP Server’s skills, bridging one-off questions with long-lived dashboards. Ask a question to your AI agent, get a result, then save it as a Dive — a live component in your MotherDuck workspace that's always up to date.

Do Dives replace my business intelligence tool?
