All submissions must comply with the following:
- The Dive must be created using the MotherDuck Dives platform.
- The Dive must be the original work of the entrant. If the Dive incorporates third-party data, the entrant is solely responsible for ensuring they have all necessary rights and permissions to use such data.
- The Dive must not contain any content that is:
- Obscene, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable;
- Infringing upon any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights;
- In violation of any applicable law or regulation;

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any submission that violates these requirements.
6. JUDGING CRITERIA AND WINNER SELECTION
Winners will be selected in three (3) categories:
Category 1: Best OverallSelected by a panel of judges appointed by Sponsor ("Judging Panel"). The Judging Panel will evaluate shortlisted submissions based on the following equally weighted criteria, each scored 1-5 (20 points max per judge):
- Narrative: Does the Dive tell a clear story or answer a clear question? Does it guide you from "what am I looking at" to "here's what matters"?
- Design: Visual composition, typography, color, layout. Does form serve function? Is it readable and accessible?
- Interactivity: Does it use the medium well? Filters, drill-downs, and exploration that earn their place.
- Clarity: Does the takeaway land? Can you understand what you're looking at without explanation?
Selected by the Judging Panel based on the following equally weighted criteria, each scored 1-5 (15 points max per judge):
- Originality: Is the concept, dataset, or approach something you haven't seen before?
- Ambition: How far did they push it? Did they take a real swing?
- Execution: Does it actually work? Creative intent only counts if the data still lands.
All three (3) judges score all shortlisted entries on both rubrics. Highest total score wins. In the event of a tie in any panel-judged category, the Judging Panel will deliberate and select a winner.
Category 3: Community FavoriteDetermined primarily by community upvotes cast during the Submission Period. To participate in voting, individuals must create a MotherDuck account and log in. The voting mechanism ensures that each registered MotherDuck account holder may cast only one (1) upvote per submission. Self-voting is permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to exercise final discretion in the selection of the Community Favorite winner, including but not limited to adjusting results to account for suspected fraudulent voting, bot activity, or other manipulation. Sponsor's decisions regarding vote validity are final.
A single submission may win in only one (1) category. If a submission would otherwise win in multiple categories, it will be awarded the prize of highest value, and the next-highest-scoring eligible submission will receive the other prize. The decisions of the Judging Panel and Sponsor are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.7. PRIZES
